Hello! I am the middle school writing and grammar teacher at CSCA. I fell in love with teaching middle school while long term subbing and am excited to serve my students. I most enjoy spending time outside, reading, and cultivating creativity in my classes. I believe that every student is a writer and is capable of so much!
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking and fishing with my family and exploring state and national parks. I aim to fully sticker my car with all of our adventures across the US.
I enjoy reading a variety of genres, but my all time favorite author is JRR Tolkien. I'm a big fan of his essays and writing style and love to emulate his style in my own writing. I also love Arthurian legends and mythology and am working on uncovering the origins of the legends.
My husband, two children, and our two dogs (Arwen and Thorin Dovahkiin) have lived in Colorado Springs for one year and are looking forward to many more!
