Hello parents and students! I am so excited to join the CSCA community this year as a 4th grade teacher. This is will be my second year teaching 4th grade and I hope to share my passion for teaching and learning with my students. I can't wait for us all to learn from each other.

I have enjoyed my journey that led me to being an educator.  I did my undergraduate studies at DePaul University in Chicago, my hometown. I received a B.A. in Psychology in 2007 with a emphasis on Human Development. At DePaul, I had many opportunities to work with children of all ages through tutoring throughout Chicago. After college, I explored different career paths as a Americorps member, a case manager, and a licensed massage therapist. I was overjoyed to find my calling in education when I began a Masters in Elementary Education at Saint Xavier University in Chicago. After graduating in 2014 with an M.A., I was an assistant teacher in a Lower Elementary Montessori classroom in Indiana. I hope to bring my variety of experiences to the classroom to create a vibrant and exciting learning environment.

I've lived in Colorado Springs for two years now and am loving it. I enjoy reading and hiking and traveling with my boyfriend. I also teach yoga and greatly enjoy deepening my own practice.  I love offering my students mindfulness and breathing exercises that can help with everyday stresses.

I am always happy to answer any questions about curriculum, homework, or anything that comes up! Just ask! :)
